Abstract: Knowledge of vapor-liquid equilibrium data for mixtures of real gases facilitates the precise design of a low-temperature rectifier-apparatus. At the present time this knowledge of the equilibria of noble gases and fission products Kr and Xe is required for studying the reprocessing of irradiated nuclear-fuel elements. The gaseous fission products, appear with particularly high yield in the gaseous effluent and must be extracted from off-gas stream in order to reduce potential contamination of the environment. The following isothermal equilibrium data were therefore studied : 1. Mixtures of Ar-N$_{2}$ between 80 and 100 K, in order to test capability of the apparatus by comparision with known data. 2. Kr mixtures with Ar between 115 and 125 K. 3. Kr mixtures with N$_{2}$ between 100 and 125 K. 4. Xe mixtures with Kr between 150 and 170 K. 5. In addition, the liquidus-lines of a solid Kr in liquid air components and that of a solid Xe in a liquid Kr were determined. The consistency of the measured equilibrium data was checked by applying a computer program called SYMFIT, developed by PRAUSNITZ [20] and the results are available in tables and graphs. A universal equilibrium apparatus using a circulation method by means of a glass-cell is also described.
